The 4v2 Box Drill is a classic training activity that develops technical sharpness while challenging players to think fast. Perfect for building confidence on the ball in real game situations. ? Drill Setup: ? 6 players (4 attackers vs 2 defenders) ? 8x8 yard area ⏱ 10 minutes ⚽ Ball, cones & bibs ? How it works: Coach plays the ball into one of the offensive players on the outside. Attackers keep possession, passing side-to-side around the grid. If a defender wins the ball, they switch roles with the attacker who lost it. Add progressions: limit to 2-touch or 1-touch passing to increase difficulty. ⚡ Coaching Points: Pass with speed and purpose — every ball should give information.
